JMI Planning secured planning permission for the conversion of the former Burton Museum building which sits within Burton-on-Trent City Centre. The building had been vacant for over 20 years.
Working alongside Urban Designs we helped put together a scheme which showed the conversion of the building into 13, one and two bed apartments. Owing to the buildings location within the conservation area and its grand and architecturally interesting features we held several meetings with the Council’s Conservation Officer and the Architect to ensure the proposal would preserve the most notable architectural features.
The proposal will deliver modern town centre living accommodation and will deliver a sensitively designed scheme which brings a vacant building back to life which could have otherwise remained vacant for a longer period.
